You’ll love this chewy, butterscotch variation of Rice Krispies® treats. Add a few strands of licorice and your treat looks like brass plates! |

Directions: |

- Stir corn syrup and sugar in a saucepan over medium-high heat until mixture comes to a full rolling boil.
- Remove saucepan immediately from heat and stir in peanut butter.
- Stir in cereal.
- Press into a greased 9” x 13” pan.
- In a double-boiler melt butterscotch chips.
- Spread over treats.
- Cut into 24 pieces while still warm and then cool.
- Make three holes through the left of each treat (top and bottom) with a toothpick and loop a 3” piece of licorice through each set of holes (see photo).

Treat Time:
Treats could be made ahead of time and left in pan to cool. Cut and make into “plates” after the lesson.
