To sacrifice is to give up something valuable or important for somebody else. Sacrifice is an important part of the gospel of Jesus Christ, but unlike animal sacrifices of old, today we offer our means and our time and a desire to give up our sins and repent in order to follow Jesus Christ. When wesacrifice it helps us remember Jesus Christ’s atoning sacrifice for all of Heavenly Father’s children who have lived or will live upon the earth.
